Oral Myofunctional Therapy of York (“we,” “us”) is committed to making our website usable for people with disabilities. Our commitment
Therapy information should be available to everyone — including people who use keyboards, screen readers, magnification, captions, or other assistive technologies. We design with semantic HTML, descriptive link text, form labels, visible focus styles, skip-to-content navigation, and color contrast that meets AA for primary text and CTAs wherever we control the design system.
Measures we take
- Skip-to-content link on every page so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation;
- Associated labels on contact, pathway, and referral form fields;
- Visible focus indicators on buttons, links, and interactive controls;
- Alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images marked appropriately;
- ARIA only where needed (for example, expanded states, live status, dialogs);
- Mobile call/book bar that is inert when hidden and keyboard-reachable when shown;
- Lightbox for results images using the native dialog element with keyboard dismiss.
Known limitations
Some third-party embeds (maps, social widgets, cookie preference UI, reCAPTCHA, or external shop pages) may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We choose vendors carefully and continue improving our own components. Educational media may lack transcripts until we add them — please contact us if you need an accessible alternative for a specific resource.
