Preparing for Your First Visit

Evaluations are in person so we can see breathing, , swallow, and oral structures as indicated — not guess over a screen.

Definition

  • Helpful to bring or note: dental/orthodontic history, ENT or allergy care, prior frenectomy notes, habit history (thumb/pacifier), and what you have already noticed about sleep, speech, or chewing.
  • Plan for a conversation-first visit: we listen, assess function, explain findings in plain language, and outline options without high-pressure tactics.
  • If other providers are involved, we can coordinate notes after you are underway — collaboration is part of the care path.
  • Choose York or Bird in Hand based on convenience; both deliver the same evaluation standard.
